What is Depression?
Depression is a mental disorder that affects people’s mood and can cause significant distress in daily life. It can be the result of biological or environmental factors. Symptoms include low energy levels, feelings of guilt, thoughts of suicide, and many more. Those who are suffering from depression may have difficulty with thinking or concentration, changes in weight or appetite, sleep disturbances (insomnia or sleeping too much), and psychomotor agitation (feeling shaky).

Symptoms of depression?
Depression is a despondent feeling that can cause someone to be unhappy, experience loss of pleasure in things they usually enjoy, and have a lack of energy.
There are various symptoms that can help indicate if someone may be suffering from depression. These include feelings of guilt or worthlessness, thoughts about death or suicide, problems with sleep, changes in appetite or weight, anxiety and agitation.
The most common cause of depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain which often occurs when someone has an underlying issue like clinical depression or bipolar disorder. There are also other factors such as traumatic life events that can contribute to the onset of depression.
